Antidate is a location based app.
Antidate shares some of your personal data with third parties.
We may collect and process the following data about you:
Data that you provide in completing your Antidate profile, and any updates to it, including any email provided at sign-up.
To register on Antidate, you must log-in via Facebook. In doing so, you consent to our using and processing certain data from your Facebook account, including your name, gender, date of birth, Facebook photos and your Facebook user id.
We do not routinely monitor your chat messages but we reserve the right to review them solely to ensure compliance with our Terms and Conditions. We store your chat messages on our systems.
If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
Antidate may use software similar to cookies to collect, maintain, or transmit data that will help us to understand more about our users and their use and interaction with Antidate. For example, this software may collect:
If you do not agree to the collection and processing of such data, you should not download or use Antidate.
When you register for Antidate you will be asked to allow us to use your location. If you consent we will collect your location when you are in the app and when it is running in the background of your device, including after you ‘swipe Antidate up’ from your home screen. We will also record the times at which we collect your location data.
You can deactivate location tracking via either your Antidate settings (by turning “Show Location” to “Off”) or via your device’s settings at any time. If you don’t consent, we won’t collect your location data, but you won’t be able to use some of the features of Antidate.
If you allow us to use your location and are in or near an Antidate Place that you have previously liked, the app will automatically check you into that place and show certain other Antidaters that you are there. Which other Antidaters will see you will depend on your visibility preferences (you can change these via your Antidate settings at any time).
We may use your data in the following ways:
We may disclose your data:
We have had help from a number of third parties in building Antidate. As a result, we may also share your data with the following service providers:
We do not currently advertise on Antidate. We may decide, for commercial reasons to partner with selected brands for marketing activity. In doing so, we may disclose data about your device, profile, behaviour and location to advertisers so that they can target their marketing efforts towards you. We know some people are not comfortable with this so please do not download and use Antidate if you feel that way.
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or our suppliers. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely. Although we will do our best to protect your data, we can’t guarantee the security of your data transmitted through Antidate; any transmission is at your own risk.
You can amend your profile, delete or suspend your account via the Settings tab. If you choose to delete your account, no data of yours will remain on our server. If you choose to suspend your account, your profile, Antidate Places and activity data will be stored in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, but not your location data. We will not be liable for the loss of any deleted data.
You have the right to a copy of the data we hold about you. Access requests will be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in responding. Requests by family members to access user data will be granted at our discretion.
